Clive Jaques
I’m the founder and Financial Planner at Estate Financial Planning. I’ve been helping individuals and families take control of their financial futures for over 30 years.
What I enjoy most about this work is seeing the real impact that good financial planning can have—watching a client’s goals take shape and their financial future come to life is incredibly rewarding. It’s why I started Estate Financial Planning.
I started my career in financial services and insurance and my background includes working for a national advice firm. I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning and am a registered Life Planner with the Kinder Institute of Life Planning.
A fun fact about me: when I’m not working with clients or leading our team, I also teach Karate—something that keeps me disciplined, focused, and always learning (much like financial planning!)
Richard Harley
I am a financial adviser within Estate Financial Planning, advising mainly upon pensions and investments, though I am fully qualified to advise upon equity release and mortgages as well.
I have over 20 years experience working within the financial services industry, for both large and small sized companies and the main reason I became a financial adviser is because I enjoy helping people. Finance can be a daunting subject at the best of times, so I try to make it as easy to understand for clients as possible.
Before joining Estate Financial Planning, I achieved a university degree in management and worked as a manager for various multinational companies across a variety of sectors.
Fun Fact: I used to be a professional footballer.
Simon Benson
At Estate Financial Planning I am the Practice Manager. I am a fully qualified Financial Adviser having worked in financial services for 29 years.
I enjoy helping our team ensure we give our clients the best service possible and are available to help with any queries they may have.
Before joining EFP I worked as a Foreign Exchange and derivatives broker and proprietary trader.
Fun Fact: I was in a band called Blindshark.
Catherine Stevens
At Estate Financial Planning I lead on all things related to people and culture, I also support Clive and Simon to develop the business.
My experience is a bit different – I have 20 years experience in the UK and international non profit sector, including a stint in Tanzania. My most recent post was COO for a sustainability charity and I hope to bring that expertise to EFP.
At EFP I’m proud of our values and our supportive culture where people can thrive, grow and succeed.
Fun fact: I’m currently undertaking an advanced diploma in Coaching and when not in the office or studying, you’ll find me somewhere in the woods!
Heather Bendall
I am the Paraplanner at Estate Financial Planning.
I enjoy working here because everyone in the team is supportive and completely focussed on providing the clients with the best possible solutions to helping them live their life to the fullest.
Fun Fact: I was once a Ball girl at Queens! The tournament before Wimbledon.
Abe Jaques
I’ve been part of the Estate Financial Planning team for nearly five years, supporting our Advisers to deliver the best possible service to our clients. I am a newly qualified Mortgage Adviser and I’m excited to soon be helping clients directly with their mortgage needs.
What I love about working at EFP is how it’s helped me discover a real passion for finance—something I think I’ve inherited from my dad, who I used to quiz about global financial issues long before I knew this would become my career path. EFP has given me the perfect opportunity to learn and grow in an industry I now really value.
Fun fact: I play the drums (though not in the office—yet!)
Samantha Hilbert
At Estate Financial Planning, I am the Personal Assistant to Clive Jaques as well as supporting the whole team.
Prior to working at EFP, I had PA/EA roles in the city for the big 4 as well in the private sector.
I enjoy working for and with a small, friendly, and personable team.
Fun Fact: I am a qualified massage therapist!
CeCe
At Estate Financial Planning I am the calming influence and mood modifier. I am responsible for wagging my tail at visitors and providing opportunity for my colleagues to take screen breaks by walking with me in the beautiful Surrey Hills.
I enjoy working at Estate Financial Planning because I get to share my office with my beloved daddy, Clive. And I love all the attention I get from my colleagues – even those who are not ‘doggy’ people.
Before joining Estate Financial Planning, I was only a young pup who cut my teeth by chewing my bed at home.
Fun fact: I’m told I am the only dog who doesn’t like chewing bones.
Layla
At Estate Financial Planning I am the smile generator, making people smile by grinning at them, lying on my back so that they can rub my tummy and wagging my tail at everyone.
I enjoy working at Estate Financial Planning because I have more people to get attention from, as well as daddy (Clive). I am very proactive and if I am not getting enough attention I go and find some.
Before joining Estate Financial Planning, I was only a young pup who cut my teeth chewing my bed – and I still chew anything!
Fun fact: I am working hard to get the team wrapped around my little paw, when I am not sitting on Cece and chewing her ears!
